The health structures called hospital, offer health services and treatments in the following ways:
- ORDINARY HOSPITALISATION - for acute pathologies that connot be resolved in Outpatient procedure and that need of medical and nursing specialized assistance and observation; it's the most common form of hospitalisation and foresees a period of stay of one day at least, and is generally inclusive of a overnight stay.
- DAY HOSPITAL - Day-time cycle assistance that consist in a hospitalisation or programmed cycle of hospitalisations which period of stay is inferior to the day, and with offer of multidisciplinary and specialistic services and tratments; it foresees a one-day stay to carry out diagnostic procedures and/or non surgical treatments.
- DAY SURGERY - limited to the only hours of the day, to realise surgical interventions in local, regional and general anaesthesia, and diagnostic procedures and/or invasive and also partially invasive therapeutical treatments and interventions.
- OUTPATIENTS SERVICES AND TREATMENTS - assistance that can eventually foresee small and localized surgical interventions or diagnostic and therapeutical procedures practicable without hospitalisation and without need of post-operating caretaking.
With the exception of VILLA MARIA BEATRICE HOSPITAL that offers only services and treatments for ordinary, continuous and acute patients.
The Outpatients clinics (Medical Centers) of Villa Maria Group offer health services and treatments in the following ways:
- DAY SURGERY - limited to the only hours of the day, to carry out surgical interventions in local, regional and general anaesthesia, and invasive and partially invasive diagnostic and therapeutical procedures.
- OUTPATIENTS SERVICES AND TRAITMENTS - assistance that can eventually foresee small and localized surgical intervention practicable without hospitalisation and without necessity of post-operating caretaking; specialistic visits and chek-up, odontoiatric clinics and services, therapeutical procedures, Imaging and Instrumental diagnosis services.
Agrigento Medical Center carries out specialistic treatments and diagnostic services ONLY in Outpatient private clinic.
